WASHINGTON — Today, Congresswoman-Elect Nikki Budzinski released the following statement on the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol.

“Two years ago, a violent mob attacked our nation’s capitol in an attempt to overthrow a free and fair election. Police officers were beaten, our constitution was undermined and our democracy was desecrated. Today, I joined my colleagues to reflect on the events of that dark day, thank the brave members of law enforcement who put their lives on the line and remember those whose lives were lost. We owe them a deep debt of gratitude.”
