Budzinski Statement on Swearing-In Delays

Jan 05, 2023

WASHINGTON — Today, Congresswoman-Elect Nikki Budzinski released the following statement on the delays to her swearing-in and the dysfunctional start to the 118th Congress.

The failure of House Republicans to elect a Speaker of the House and begin the 118th Congress is a disservice to the people of Illinois’ 13th Congressional District and working men and women across the country. I urge my colleagues in the majority to get their act together, put an end to this dysfunction and let us get to work.”
