WASHINGTON — Today, Congresswoman-Elect Nikki Budzinski released the following statement on the delays to her swearing-in and the dysfunctional start to the 118th Congress.

“In November, voters across Central and Southern Illinois elected me to come to Washington and bring their voices to the halls of Congress. The failure of House Republicans to elect a Speaker of the House and begin the 118th Congress is a disservice to the people of Illinois’ 13th Congressional District and working men and women across the country. I urge my colleagues in the majority to get their act together, put an end to this dysfunction and let us get to work.”
