Budzinski Applauds More Than $10 Million Investment in StandardAero’s Springfield Facility

SPRINGFIELD, IL — Today, Congresswoman Nikki Budzinski (IL-13) applauded the announcement that StandardAero, an aviation maintenance company, has committed to investing between $10 and $12 million in upgrades at their Springfield facility. The investments will be completed in three phases over two-and-a-half years in partnership with Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport.

“The Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport is an economic engine for our community that provides critical transportation options for our families,” said Congresswoman Budzinski. “I’m thrilled that StandardAero will be investing more than $10 million to improve their Springfield facility and help pave the way for future growth.”

Major upgrades will prioritize building modernization, including hangar overhauls, HVAC replacements, as well as parking and road resurfacing.

StandardAero Springfield supports aircraft maintenance for business aviation including scheduled maintenance, avionics installations, interior refurbishments and aircraft paint. The company operates in Van Nuys, California; Dallas and Houston, Texas; Augusta, Georgia; and in the U.K. The company also has regional service centers located in the U.S, Brazil, U.K., South Africa, and Singapore in addition to Mobile Service Teams around the world to support wherever operators fly.
